Welcome to the Las Vegas Faith Center.
Build Your Faith In 2011 and You’ll Thrive in 2012
We believe that the power to do the extraordinary resides inside each and every human being.
Our mission is to help you Find It, Believe It, Develop It and then USE IT to create change in our own life and in the lives of others.

LVFC was established in 1995 (becoming a 501C3 charitable organization in 1997) by a collaboration of independent business owners and like-minded community members desiring to address and solve recurring social problems including homelessness, unemployability and disengagement. LVFC collaborative partners utilize the Hero School® model to empower thousands of homeless and displaced men, women and youth entering our valley, schools and shelters each year to become responsible, employable, productive and contributing community members.

LVFC’s non-profit Hero School initiatives have been successful producing character change with tens of thousands of homeless and displaced men and women, as well as with hundreds of thousands of middle and high school youth through collaborative partnerships with myriad non-profit organizations and agencies including the Clark County School District, The Las Vegas Gang Conference, Department of Juvenile Justice, Catholic Charities, The Jewish Federation, Clark County Parks and Recreation, Department of Family Services, The City of Las Vegas, the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority, St. Judes, PATH Center Los Angeles, The Shade Tree and numerous churches. Invitations to provide Faith-Based Hero School Programs have been extended by social service providers in cities across the U.S., India, Australia, Israel, Kenya, Zambia and South America.
Our short-term goal is to establish a strategically-located Faith Center and Hero School® facility that serves as the single engagement point and empowering career academy for the underemployed, unemployed, transitional and shelter residents in the Las Vegas valley. Our longer-term goals including collaborating with more solution and independence-minded individuals and organizations across the country and around the world to promulgate the Hero School® Character Change model and quickly solve similar problems in major cities across the United States, Canada, India, Africa, South America and Australia.
Financial and in-kind support for Hero School Initiatives including intellectual and social capital, strategic planning, business clothing, vehicles, buildings, computers, web and graphics services, iPods for learning libraries, etc., can be made by contacting LVFC at 702.433.7711. Credit Card donations can be made through the Network For Good Portal Network For Good. We further encourage forward-thinking business leaders to invest in, sponsor and co-develop fundraising, promotional and community-building events benefiting Hero School initiatives, local businesses, community members and the people and organizations we serve.
We always welcome heroic-minded, skills-based volunteers and experts who believe in leading through service. LVFC has been a 100% Volunteer non-profit organization since 1997. Whether college students majoring in graphic design or social work, law firm members looking to help those who cannot help themselves, or grandparents desiring to restore character education among disenfranchised youth, there is a place and purpose for you to connect with and make a significant difference in the lives of many in our community.
Many people in communities don’t know how to help themselves. Likewise, even outstanding charities that supply important services still struggle just to manage the same challenged and challenging individuals day-after-day, week-after-week, month-after-month, year-after-year. Without the CHANGE we bring, those they repeatedly serve continue consuming precious resources and wearing down the hearts and minds of heroic staff members and social service providers. By investing in a Hero School initiative for your favorite non-profit organization, you can help bring the cycle of repeated history, bridge the communication gap, and quickly engage, inspire and reinvigorate clients, residents and staff so they become active participants in their own positive change.
MESSAGE:
Where is that written?
“Pessimists are usually right and optimists are usually wrong, but all the great changes have been accomplished by optimists.” — Thomas L. Friedman
After being berated by a woman who challenged my belief system, I was hit with this statement:
“Everyone can’t be wrong, and you right.” I’m not going to lie and tell you that this statement didn’t affect me. Still, almost without thinking, I turned to my other students and asked, “Where is that written?”
Where IS it written, that “everyone else” can’t be wrong, and just one person right?
EVERYONE else was wrong about the Flood, and only Noah was right.
EVERYONE else was wrong about Goliath, and only David was right.
EVERYONE else was wrong about Lazarus, and only Jesus was right.
In fact…
EVERYONE else was wrong about the existence of Troy, and only Heinrich Schliemann was right.
EVERYONE else was wrong about the winning the siege of Orléans, and only Joan of Arc was right.
EVERYONE else was wrong about flight, and only the bicycle shop owners - the Wright brothers – were right!
Sir Isaac Newton actually upset the Aristotelian - and the church’s - view that the natural state of an object was at “rest,” claiming instead that its natural state was in “motion” - a view held by “everyone” for 1700 years!
Dear Faithful, there’s no need to wait until “everyone else” agrees to a particular view before YOU start trusting it. Groupthink has always been the single greatest barrier to heroes, leaders, innovators, and saints. You don’t get your security in numbers. Your security comes from your faith in the promises of God.
Stay optimistic. Believe God. Trust the Universe. Act on your inner Guide. Believe the best and strengthen your heart.
You may not always be right, but at least you can level the playing field by responding to the groupthinkers with one simple question: “Where is that written?”

For more than a decade, the Las Vegas Faith Center’s core messages have empowered people all over the world to change lives, build strong relationships, and improve communities.
This is where Faith really works. Faith is the force we can use to overcome the challenges of Life. Faith also empowers us to become the people we were born to be. And like anything else in life, Faith can be learned, and grown, and mastered.
Living by Faith just got a little easier.
The Apostle Paul said that “The just shall live by Faith.” This means that whatever you and I are going through, we can get through it with Faith. Use what has been collected here to grow and develop your Faith. Contact us with your questions and your faith reports as you witness Life beginning to work for you again. And remember, we are all on this journey through Life together.
Your tax-deductible support helps us continue providing character change classes for the homeless,
faith messages for churches around the globe, and faith life coaching in our community.
